Kitchee's goal scorer Juan Carlos Rodriguez Belencoso conceded that match against PERSIB was one of the hardest during their campaign in AFC Cup this year. He was then proud to end the match with a two goals victory that silenced the crowd cheering for the home side along ninety minutes.
Belencoso headed in Cheun Kin Fung cross from left side to beat PERSIB's custodian I Made Wirawan to open the score fifteen minutes before the break. The Spanish was then crowned Man Of The Match by AFC for his contribution to his side which now has appeared in Tournament's Quarterfinal for third time.
"It's a difficult game for us as PERSIB kept giving pressure with their fast wingers. They have fast forwards, but we're better at defending," he told media after the match.
Kitchee put a solid defense at the back line that frustrated PERSIB to break its deadlock. The two goals lead in first half became key point that boost team's morale to play more enjoyably in second half.
"We played very discipline so that we could score two goals and they're very important for us. I am happy to help my team reaching Quarterfinal and now we are going to focus on our next matches," he concluded.
